After a long journey, roote is finally finding its roots.

It all started with two friends who met during a hair salon internship in Singapore in 2017. Then life happened. For the next seven years, they went their separate ways, working in different cities, different spaces, and alongside different people, each finding their own way.

Then, seven years later, they found each other again in Europe. Somehow, the spark was still there. And this time, they thought: why not build something together?

That’s where roote began.

It's not just a salon, but a safe, creative space for people with different roots and different routes. A place where paths can cross, where you might meet someone to collaborate with, discover a new idea, or simply leave feeling inspired to dream a little bigger. Or at least, that's our vision for this new space to become.

We’re incredibly happy to welcome you to our new space, roote! We hope it becomes a place not only for hair, but for creativity, connection, and a community that keeps growing in all kinds of directions.

On the day, there will be music by DJs silver pearl and XUNAT, delicious bites by our neighbour MastroSupplì, and plenty of drinks to cheers with. You’ll also get to discover works by some of the people who have been part of bringing roote to life.
